:) 100 years? Come on, my friend, I\'m 65 – in 20 years I won\'t remember where the kitchen is! But you are right.
Thanks for the good vibes. I need them and want them. I wish there were someone to go with me. Boy that would be great. (they could drive me there!) Unfortunately, I have no support group here at all. I have a good friend in Montana who wants me to move there. Not crazy about the weather at all, but I would at least have some friends around and it is a VERY small town. Probably could handle that. I have to wait for some financial things to come about first, but if/when they do I think I need to pack and go.
Thanks again for all the support and I will be thinking about you on court day for sure. There is a "chance" I can pay the fine by internet and not have to go. I have not had a great deal of luck lately, so I have to wait and see if I get anything in the mail or anything is posted on line to give me that option. I check everyday, but nothing so far. Sigh.

Hi Motherficore
How are things with you? Any luck yet with paying it online?

:( nothing on line yet. I really hope it is possible. The longer this goes the more anxious I seem to get. I just would like it over with. Thanks for checking in with me!

Only a few days to go now and it\'ll all be over. How are you doing?

Thank yu so much. Actually they sent me a notice in the mail that court was put off until the end of October. I have been looking on line daily to see if I could pay the fine without court and nothing. Believe me I was not pleased to have it drag out even more. So when I got your message I checked one last time before I responded to you AND IT WAS ON LINE AND I PAID IT. Lord, I am so relieved. Yes it will go on my record, but it is what it is. What is the point of going to court, and besides it would give me a nervous breakdown. So I am very happy to have it done and I hope and pray it is the last time I have this kind of experience or ticket. Thank you my friend for thinking of me. How nice the support from you has been. I did go to the doctor and get some medication for anxiety but it does take awhile to kick in, so perhaps a few more weeks before I am feeling better. I don\'t know if it will hlep the driving issue or not – we shall see.

WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!! Result!
That\'s really good news. You must be really relieved.
Glad to hear you went to the doctor and got that sorted too. As soon as the meds kick in you should feel a whole lot better about life in general. Looks like your luck has turned and things are on the up for you now. I am celebrating for you by eating a whole bar of dark chocolate with ginger pieces in it, hope that helps.
I have been getting a bit better with my own driving nerves as I have had to drive for my job quite a bit, not a huge amount but more than I\'m used to and it is getting easier. This weekend I\'m driving up to see my folks on my own. It\'s about 70 miles and involves going on the motorway, or freeway as you would call it. I\'ve driven it before twice with hubby on board but this will be the first time on my own. I\'ll probably be taking loads of Imodium leading up to it but I\'m going to give it a go. I usually go on the train, which is less stressful and is actually quicker but soccer season has started here and at the time I come home the train is full of men singing and shouting, which used to be a thrill but not at my age. So I\'m going to bite the bullet and give the car a go. You never know, one day I may be confident enough to have the radio on while I drive :D

You are WAAAY ahead of me that is for sure. Gives me hope that maybe I can reach that far myself if you can…… If someone told me I was doing a 70 mile trip, I would probably give birth to an entire litter of kittens. I am impressed and proud of you. Let me know if you survive the thing!
I never in my life heard of dark chocolate and ginger……can\'t even imagine what that would taste like. But I am sure it helped nonetheless. Thank you! :)
Do you have Amish people or communities in England? (I guess I am rather stupid, but I don\'t know). I had a fleeting idea of joining them and getting a horse and buggy……

No, we don\'t have Amish people over here, but I know about them, even saw some in the market when I visited Philladelphia. It depends on the horse though doesn\'t it. If you get a frisky one, that could be quite alarmimg :D
You could always go live in New York or London where you don\'t need a car. As long as you have plenty of money to live in a nice area. If you do give birth to a littler of kittens, could I have one of them?
Well, I survived my 70 mile journey yesterday, even the 70 miles back again, some of which was in the dark. It wasn\'t all great, I scraped my wheel on the kerb parking (again!) and I kept imagining something was wrong with the car, like I could smell burning or a funny noise, but the drive was ok and I managed not to kill anyone so all\'s well that ends well and I\'m planning to do it again in two weeks.

So glad all is well and you are my HERO! WOW. Wonder if there is a chance I will ever be that brave? Not too promising is it, what with my being older than dirt already :(
I am so happy for you and you are going to do it again. I would be kissing the ground and never want to get behind the wheel again.
No unfortunately I am not rich, so I guess London and New York are out. As for the frisky horse I am having practice with a frisky Great Dane. She freaks out on walks sometimes. We had some kids on motorbikes – very loud – come right up on the sidewalk and she had a heart attack. Well it scared me too and I sure had my hands full with a 100 pound freaked out dog on my hands. Don\'t care to repeat than one. But I still go out everyday with her, crazy people and all. I have to be brave about something or other.
I am waiting for the medication to really kick in, I do think it is a little better though. I go back to the doctor the end of October so I guess that is sort of a target date for me to feel better about life in general.
Thank you so much for all the help and encouragement and good humor. I love that – and yes indeed if I have that litter, you may have the pick!
